The management of documentation can be a time consuming and frustrating process. The Doc-Link function within AMAPS+PLUS enables you to connect or link a document to a customer, vendor, part, receipt, and lot among others. These linkages can include any document such as PDF, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, pictures, drawings, Customer specifications, Test results, vendor certifications and Material Safety Data Sheets among others. Any document with supporting display software such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Photo Editor, Microsoft Word, and Internet Explorer among others, may be viewed. Files are stored as read only and standard security is used to grant viewing privileges. A good use of Doc-Link coupled with Microsoft Project, for example, would be to share status of a vendor certification project.
